Hope Chapel Ministries -Founded 1973 - God Is Faithful

Hope Chapel is a Bible-based Christian assembly that believes in repentance from sin, saving faith in the blood of Jesus and a personal relationship with God through His Son. We further believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost is a subsequent gift from God to believers who receive Him by faith.

Our purpose is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost; disciple those who believe and accept its message; minister to the natural and spiritual needs of the body of Christ; and provide an atmosphere of fellowship, praise and worship that will bring glory to God.

History: Hope Chapel Ministries!

After 48 years of faithful ministry, our beloved pastor, Apostle Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann gaduated to be with the Lord in 2021. She will forever remain a part of our lives and we will always cherish her memory. The following paragraphs overview Hope Chapel's rich history which began with a life-changing transformation of our founder in 1973.

0n March 25, 1973, Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes repented and accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and subsequently received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was evident that the call of God was upon her life as she shared the love of Christ and her anointed testimony. As she continued to share fervently this Good News of the Gospel, many like her were won over to the same faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Hope Chapel Ministries was born. The ministry, which was initially referred to as Unity, Prayer, Bible and Mission Outreach, started in the basement of her home and continued there for approximately 5 years before moving into the garage. As the ministry continued to show tremendous growth, it was necessary to use various community centers for specific events. Our first construction was completed in 1981 was the Fellowship Hall. Today the ministry has expanded to multi-million dollar facilities that include a Children's Church, Sanctuary, renovated Fellowship Hall and a private Christian School.

The ministry, which started out with seven (7) members, experienced remarkably rapid growth. It embraced people of various races, nationalities and walks-of-life. As the ministry continued to grow through the preaching of the Gospel, prison ministry, nursing home visits, street evangelism, and other forms of outreach were established and many lives experienced the love of Jesus, the truth of the gospel and the new birth, bringing about notable changes. Moreover, Hope Chapel’s radio, television, magazine and internet ministries are other examples of viable channels reaching out to millions of people offering hope through salvation and a new life.

Early 2021 our Apostle transitioned to heaven after 48 years of faithful service. Minister Michael Bolden was subsequently ordained pastor of Hope Chapel Ministries on October 24, 2021. As it has been the case over many years, and doubtless will continue to be, countless individuals come through the doors of Hope Chapel broken, disheartened, without salvation and without hope, and afterwards go on to live changed lives. Hope Chapel will continue to be a place of salvation, deliverance and hope as we move into the future exclaiming our motto: "There is Hope at Hope Chapel...and that Hope is Jesus!".

What a blessing both the podcasts and streaming services have been. They are easy to access and are great supplemental devotions to my weekly attendance at services and prayer.

Hope Chapel has always been a lighthouse for those seeking a way out of darkness. The Word of God is a lighthouse shining a light of hope in our dark society.
