Starting
with a life changing encounter with God on 4th Sunday morning on
March 23, 1973, Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann surrendered her life to
God and thus began a ministry born out of compassion, love, and
a passion for seeing all of humanity achieve their God-given destiny
and potential. In 1973 she established Unity Prayer Bible and Mission
Outreach. This name would later change to Hope Chapel Ministries
-- a name synonymous with excellence and hope.
Dr.
Holmes-Vann has outdistanced many entrepreneurs and ministers because
of her expertise and skill in establishing and overseeing start-up
operations and projects. This includes the establishment of debt-
free facilities, including a fellowship hall; children's church
annex; 2000- seat church sanctuary; court facilities for youth;
parking lots and an atrium; and passageways to connect the major
buildings which are located on a 51 acre throughway.
Esprit
de Corps Center for Learning is the latest miracle God has wrought
through the hands of Dr. Holmes-Vann. The newly constructed school completed
in 2001 is adjacent to Hope Chapels Main Sanctuary, Fellowship
Hall, Childrens Church, Daycare (Nursery) and Kindergarten.
The multi-purpose facility which includes an auditorium and cafeteria
is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 people with special emphasis
on performing arts, training for service and community enrichment.
As
Pastor and Founder of HCCA, she has established a record company,
educational programs, counseling training programs and family ministries
to meet the diverse needs of people of all ages. Few have led so
many people to faith and life in Christ. For the past three decades,
her legacy has rested, not in buildings and institutions, but in
the lives of people she has helped to transform.
